PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the striding height of a bathtub and moreover, achieve a sufficient drain gradient by connecting the drainage of the bathtub directly to a drain trap to place the bathtub directly on a waterproof pan. SOLUTION: In the installing of a bathtub 2, firstly, a polystyrene foam cylindrical member 3 filled with an adhesive is placed at a corresponding location of a waterproof pan 1 where the bathtub is placed. Then, the rear of the bathtub 2 is supported by a back hanger 16 while the front thereof is supported by a temporary support member 4 to connect a bathtub drain port 5 directly to a drain port 6 of the waterproof pan by a rubber joint and a sealing is made by a sealing agent. After the adhesive is solidified, the temporary support member 4 is removed. As a result, the rubber joint gets tight on the waterproof pan drain port 6 by the weight of the bathtub to enhance sealing ability. In this manner, the bathtub 2 is placed on the side of a washing space of the waterproof pan 1 with the cylindrical member 3 filled with the adhesive and further with the back hanger 16 on the rear thereof. Hot water of the bathtub is directly discharged to the drain trap via the drain port of the bathtub and a drain elbow 11 and a drain pipe 12 of the waterproof pan. |
