PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a reduction in cost without increase in the weight of a bathtub by providing a reinforcing rib in the direction parallel with the side of the bathtub and/or askew outward from the direction parallel therewith while being connected to leg parts protrusively arranged on the rear of the bottom part of the body of the bathtub. SOLUTION: Roughly rectangular cylindrical leg parts 20 and 20 are protrusively arranged at four corners of the rear 13 of the bottom part of a bathtub 1. There are erected reinforcing ribs 21 and 21 in the direction parallel with the side 11 from one end of each leg part 20 and reinforcing ribs 22 and 22 are erected being turned to the side 11 at an angle of 45 to the reinforcing ribs 21 and 21. The height of the reinforcing ribs 21 and 22 is made the same as the height of the leg parts 20 near the leg parts 20 and gradually lower as approaching the end part of the rear 13 of the bottom part. Other ends of the leg parts 20 are interlinked and an auxiliary reinforcing rib 23 is erected in the direction of a short side of the rear 13 of the bottom part while an auxiliary reinforcing rib 24 in the direction of a long side thereof. The height of the auxiliary reinforcing ribs 23 and 24 is made lower than the height of the leg parts 20 to increase the freedom of a piping of a drain pipe from the bathtub 1 and a piping of an air pipe for bubbling. |
