<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely start up an electric dust collecting device in a short time at the time of starting up the device in a high humidity atmosphere and to suppress the effect of spark discharge or over current in normal operation on duct collecting efficiency. SOLUTION: In the case of the operation by impressing DC high voltage to an electrode of the electric dust collecting device provided in a high humidity atmosphere, a coil 11 is provided in an impressing circuit for impressing DC high voltage to an electrode unit 2 from a DC high voltage source 5. By a controller 6, the rated DC high voltage is impressed to the electrode unit from the DC high voltage source 5 through the coil 11 immediately at the time of starting-up and the electric dust collecting device is shifted to a normal operation state while adjusting the impressed voltage to the electrode unit 2 by the action of the coil 11. In the case of charging plural dust collecting unit by one piece of the DC high voltage source, since only the charge of the unit generating spark discharge or overcurrent is suppressed by providing the coil in every each unit and the charge of other units is kept in a normal state, the lowering of the duct collecting efficiency is minimized.</p> |
