PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition high in antipollution and weather resistance, excellent in hardness and mechanical strength and useful for e.g. film-formation of metallic, inorganic and organic materials. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) one or more kinds of polymerizable functional group-containing compounds with a film- forming ability selected from a radical polymerizable compound such as urethane(meta)acrylate and a cation polymerizable compound such as an epoxy group- containing compound, and (B) composite particles having a mean particle size of 5 to 200 nm and a coefficient of variation of particle size of <=50% wherein inorganic particles such as those of silica are incorporated with organic polymer such as (meta)acrylic resin with a mean molecular weight of <=50,000. Preferably, the component B is prepared by hydrolysis and condensation in solvent by using a silicon-containing polymer comprising an organic chain and a polysiloxane group so that the content of inorganic particles in the component B is 50 to 99.5 wt.% and the component B occupies 15 to 70 wt.% of the whole composition. |
