PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incubator having a unique device which imparts heat to a door so that when the door is at an open position, preferably at a completely opened position, the temperature of the door does not drop to ambient temperature. SOLUTION: An infant incubator 20 having an infant chamber 36 accommodating an infant and set at a higher desired temperature than ambient temperature by the user is disclosed. The incubator 20 has at least one access door 38 which opens so that a nursing person can intervene regarding the infant and which is positively warmed when in an open position. Thus, when the access door 38 is reclosed, the door is at a higher temperature than the surroundings, and the heating energy required to bring the infant chamber 36 back to the desired temperature becomes smaller. |
