<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify neutral adjusting operations and performance checking operations in a parts assembling state as well as to facilitate the assemblage of a steering torque detector, an electric cable and a coupler to a housing. SOLUTION: Both input and output shafts 11 and 15 rotatably supported in a housing 26 with a lid 71 are connected to each other with a torsion bar 13, while a steering torque detector 3 detecting a relative helix angle lying between the input and output shafts 11 and 15 is locked to the input shaft 11, and the detection signal is made so as to be taken to the outside of the housing via a coupler 27, and further, this coupler 27 is integrally formed in the lid 71.</p> |
