PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an epoxy resin composition for casting, improved in adhesion of the resin composition to embedded metallic fixtures and thermoplastic resin members, electrical characteristics and crack resistance, excellent in heat resistance, high in reliability and suitable for insulating treatment of various electrical and electronic parts. SOLUTION: This epoxy resin composition for casting consists essentially of (A) an epoxy resin, (B) an acid anhydride such as methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride as a curing agent and (C) 1,8-diaza-bicyc1o[5.4.0]undecene-7 (DBU) and p-toluenesulfonate of the 1,8-diaza-bicyclo[5.4.0]undecene-7 (DBU) used in combination. |
