PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts of the oil seal holding structure of an outboard motor and simplify the fitting work. SOLUTION: In a drive shaft side bearing part of a crankshaft, the crankshaft 13 and a drive shaft 5 are concentrically coupled with each other in a shaft through boss part 71 of the crankcase 7, an oil seal housing 4 is fitted to the shaft through boss part 71, the oil seal housing 4 holds a first oil seal 34 in contact with the outer circumference of the drive shaft and a second oil seal 33 in contact with the outer circumference of the crankshaft in a recess opened upward, and the inside diameter of the inner circumferential bottom end 72 of the shaft through boss part 71 in the adjacent to the opening part of the oil seal housing 4 is formed smaller than the outside diameter of the second oil seal 33 so that it prevents the upward movement of the second oil seal 33 and acts as a pull-out prevention action. |
