PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dielectric substance having an improved dielectric breakdown voltage, comprising a structure composed of a ferroelectric substance phase part and paraelectric phase part surrounding the ferroelectric substance, by uniformly distributing one or more addition components of Mn, V, Cr, Co, Ni, Fe, Nb, Mo, Ta and W from the grain boundary to the center of crystal. SOLUTION: This dielectric substance ceramic is composed of ABO3 as a main component and has a structure comprising a ferroelectric substance phase part and a paraelectric phase part surrounding the ferroelectric substance phase part. A of ABO3 is Ba, Ba+Ca, Ba+Sr and Ba+Ca+Sr, B is Ti, Ti+Zr, Ti+R and Ti+Zr+R (R is a rare earth element such as Sc or Y) and O is oxygen. The minimum concentration of the ferroelectric substance phase part of the addition component is distributed so as to have >=1/10 the maximum concentration of the paraelectrics phase part of the addition component. The main component of the formula Ba(Ti1-x Mx )O3 (M is one or more the above- mentioned element Mn, V to W; (x) is <1) is mixed with MnO, Dy2 O3 , etc., and baked in a reducing atmosphere to give a dielectric substance ceramic. |
