PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of discoloring by providing an undercoating layer and a dye receptive layer containing a thermally transferred dye image on a support and incorporating ion conductive material in the undercoating layer, thereby suppressing generation of charge in the case of conveying it in a thermal printer. SOLUTION: In the dye receptive element suitably used for a thermal transfer unit for obtaining a print from an image electronically generated from a color video camera, an undercoating layer and a dye receptive layer containing a thermally transferred dye image are formed on a support, and the undercoating layer is formed to contain ion conductive material. The material is substance conductive in the presence of moisture, and as the material, inorganic salt is preferably used. As such salt, monovalent salt such as, for example, LiCl, bivalent salt such as MgCl.6HO or trivalent salt such as AlCl.6HO is given. And, the undercoating layer contains reactive product of a mixture of amino functional organo-oxysilane and hydrophobic organi-oxysilane. |
