PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lighting conditions required to photograph an image suitable for processing in an image processing process by controlling the irradiation angle and illuminance of lighting according to a recognition object to be visually recognized in a visual recognition device used in industrial automatic equipment for high speed handling of an electronic perts mounting device and the like. SOLUTION: This device is composed of a lighting system 2 with a plurality of illuminating light sources 3 arranged in multilayer concentric ring shape, a controller 6 performing lighting, light putting-out and light quantity control individually to the illuminating light sources 3 of ring shape, a camera 7 for photographing a recognition object 1, and an image processor 8. At the time of photographing the recognition object 1 by the camera 7, lighting and light quantity adjustment of each illuminating light source 3 of ring shape constituting the lighting system 2 are controlled by the controller 6 according to the optical characteristic of the recognition object 1. The lighting conditions of the irradiation angle and illuminance of the lighting system 2 can therefore be adjusted at real time, and the image of the recognition object 1 with excellent image quality for processing in the image processor 8 can be photographed by the camera 7 so as to be able to realize high reliability. |
