PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an additive for cement used for suppressing deterioration of neutralization, etc., in cement hardened material. SOLUTION: This additive for cement consists essentially of a polymer containing a structural unit represented by the formula [R<3> represents hydrogen atom or an organic residue; R<4> represents hydrogen atom, methyl group or CHR<6> OH group; R<5> is represents hydrogen atom, methyl group, COOR<7> group or phenyl group and R<6> represents hydrogen atom or an organic residue; R<7> is hydrogen atom, a monovalent metal ion or a divalent amine group and (m) is an integer of 1 or 2]. Since the additive for cement containing the polymer is excellent in acid resistance, the additive sufficiently can suppress deterioration, etc., of cement hardened material. The structure of the polymer is confirmed by measurement of infrared absorption spectrum (IR) and elementary analysis. |
