Disclosed is a novel piperidine derivative and a novel piperazine derivative, a process for preparing the same and an antihistaminic and antiallergic pharmaceutical composition containing the same. The novel piperadine and piperazine derivatives of the present invention and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid adducts have useful pharmacological properties, particularly strong antihistaminic and antiallergic activities, and yet have little potentiating effect of sleepiness.
