PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the expansion in vehicle interior direction without providing a different part such as rectifying cloth in a vehicle air bag arranged in the folded state in a prescribed position of a vehicle and expanded by a gas generated by an inflator. SOLUTION: In this air bag 10, vertically opposed parts of the bag inside surface in the vicinity of the mouth part 12 thereof are seamed to form, on both sides of the resulting seamed part 16, gas passages 24, 24 for guiding the gas blown from an inflator 4 to the back mouth part 12 to both the lateral side parts of the bag. A lateral gas flow can be thus formed within the air bag 10, whereby the air bag 10 can be expanded from the lateral direction to the vehicle interior direction. |
