The console (1) is assembled from a vertical rod (4) which supports a horizontal beam (5) at one end, and is designed to support a walkway (2). Identical fasteners (7) used to hang the console from a wall are provided at each end of the rod, which itself can be hung with the beam located at either its top or bottom end. Preferably the fasteners are T-shaped iron brackets containing at least one open cavity on either side of the end of the rod for receiving screws fixed into the wall. |
