PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely form a flat bottom package by an easy and simple movement and structure without influences of the weight of articles to be packaged or the quality of packaging film, etc. SOLUTION: A belt-form packaging film 3 is cylindrically wound up on the outer peripheral face of a forming tube 1 to supply articles to be packaged and both side ends of the packaging film 3 are fused with heat to cylindrically form the film. The front ends of the packaging film 3 are held by a pair of heaters 6A, 6B for front end sealing and fused with heat. One heater 6B for front end sealing is transferred to the crossing direction with the axial line of the forming tube 1 to fold the front end of the heat-fused packaging film 3. And further, the folded part of the front end of the packaging film 3 is held between the heater 6B for front end sealing and the front end of the forming tube 1 by the cooperation thereof and fused with heat to form the flat bottom. |
