PURPOSE:To construct a plurality of tunnels adjacent to each other by protrusively providing an engaging member in one side of a shield excavator and a segment group and an engaged member in the other side, to each other to vertically and horizontally connect a plurality of the shield excavators. CONSTITUTION:A leading tunnel is constructed by propelling a shield excavator, protrusively provided partly with a preliminary excavating blade 3, and building a group of segments 4 therebehind. Next, an engaged member 42, protrusively provided in a T-shaped section to the outside of the segment 4, is positioned and assembled in the rear of the preliminary excavating part. Then, other tunnel approaches to protrude an engaging member 41 partly in the segment of the following tunnel, and this engaging member 41 is engaged with an engaged member 42 of the leading tunnel to perform excavation. Both the tunnels are constructed in a paralleled condition. In this way, other tunnel can be constructed accurately in parallel to the single tunnel precedently constructed. |
