A security device against downwards motion for a swinging door is cable- (7) or spring-operated. It has a ratchet mechanism (1) with an extreme end (2) operating with a locking device (3) on a stationary frame (4). The device (6) retaining the ratchet comprises a moving element (12) in a retracted position, located in a fixed bearing (13) in a plate (10) and in a bore of a hollow shaft (9). In the retracted position of the ratchet, the moving element operates with a recess (14) located on an axis (11) of the ratchet. |
