An aqueous hair shampoo contains (a) 5-40 wt.% anionic sulphate, sulphonate, carboxylate and/or alkyl phosphate surfactant (excluding 8-22C acylaminocarboxylic acids or their water-soluble salts); (b) 0.5-10 wt.% 8-22C acylaminocarboxylic acids or their water-soluble salts; (c) 1-20 wt.% alkylglycoside of formula (I); and (d) 0.5-10 wt.% amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactants. R-O-(R1-O)n-Zx (I) R = 8-18C alkyl; R1 = ethylene or propylene; Z = 5-6C saccharide residue; n = 0-10; and x = 1-5.
