Electromagnetically compatable clocked amplifier for dc/ac amplification

For each phase the amplifier (1) has a transistor bridge power amplifier (10), an output filter (20) and a voltage sensor (28). The power amplifier has a first (11) and second (13) switching transistor each having a diode (12,14) connected in parallel with it. The output filter has connected in series a current limiting resistor (23), a filter inductance (26) and a load capacitor (27). Power thyristors (21,22) are connected in parallel with the current limiting resistor. With currents less than 20% of the maximum current the thyristors can not be turned on.
