In a catalyst installation device comprising a metal frame (1) in which the catalyst body (14) is clamped, each side of the frame (1) has a metal rail (3) which is spaced by one or more metal springs (4) from the metal profiles (2) of the frame (1), the space being covered by a screen (6). Also claimed are a process for waste gas catalytic cleaning and a process for catalytic waste gas combustion by passing a mixture of waste gas and molecular oxygen at 150-500 deg C over a catalyst, in which the above device is used for catalyst installation.
