FIELD: heat-and-mass transfer processes in vapor (gas) - liquids systems; rectification and absorption processes; oil refining, petrochemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: heat-and-mass transfer apparatus includes shell-with vertical plates provided with contact elements; each contact element has swirler surrounded by cylindrical ferrule; besides that, it is provided with separation ferrule located coaxially relative to cylindrical ferrule. Separation ferrule is provided with slots with plates directed inside ferrule. It is also provided with over-flow pipe located in center ferrules. Cylindrical ferrule is arranged inside separation ferrule at some distance and is provided with vertical plates with slots and locking members. Upper edge of cylindrical ferrule is located at level of lower edge of separation ferrule or below it. Separation ferrule is received by slots of vertical plates where it is locked. Lower shear of overflow pipe is located above swirler below edge of ferrules. It is good practice to make overflow pipe in form of truncated cone at downward slope; ratio of diameters of upper and lower sections of cone shall be within 1.1-1.5. Swirler is stamped from panel of plate and is provided with circular projection whose diameter is equal to or more than diameter of overflow pipe in lower section. Overflow pipe is provided with reflector and limiting members. Reflector is located on the pipe outside for motion along overflow pipe; limiters are secured on pipe. EFFECT: increased productivity, improved uniformity of distribution and enhanced efficiency of phase separation. 4 cl, 4 dwg |
