Pressed fireproof ceramic brick for industrial furnaces

The brick has sides of different degrees of roughness. There ia a greater roughness on those surfaces which after erecting the furnace adjoin a corresponding surface of an adjoining brick than the roughness of this corresponding surface immediately after pressing of the brick. The rough surfaces are formed by a granular fireproof ceramic material. This material is anchored on the surface of the brick by a bonding agent such as pitch, bitumen or synthetic resin.
