FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: cutterbar has knife and finger bar pivotally connected to header body by means of levers and springs. Gap between finger bar and header platform may be closed with shutter. During operation of combine, soil may get onto cutterbar. Construction of header allows probability for soil to get onto header platform and into hopper to be reduced by existence of gap through which soil may fall onto soil surface. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
