Continuous oven in which the heat source is built up of a number of modules (12) containing microwave sources (30). Each module is covered by a cylindrical housing (14). The workpieces are transported on an endless belt (34) which runs above a perforated metal plate whose profile is arranged so it can act as a secondary radiator. The endless belt could be replaced by rollers set into the perforations of this plate.
