<p>Signals to be cross-correlated, particularly signals derived from electrostatic sensors monitoring fluid flow velocities in a power station, are processed and combined prior to cross-correlating to enable more than one flow velocity to be determined from the results of a single cross-correlation measurement. This can lead to a reduction in the number of cross-correlators required for a large installation, or a reduction in the amount of processing time required to perform the individual cross-correlation measurements. Also disclosed is a method of improving the accuracy of cross-correlation by combining multiple measurements prior to cross-correlation.</p> |
