MARKING OF NUCLEIC ACIDS WITH SPECIAL PROBE MIXTURES

Special DNA probe mixtures are disclosed for specifically marking nucleic acids, in particular double-stranded DNA, as well as a process for marking double-stranded DNA by in situ hybridisation in non-denaturing conditions using the special DNA probe mixtures and a process for producing such special DNA probe mixtures. These DNA probe mixtures consist of at least two oligonucleotides which exclusively contain purine or exclusively contain pyrimidine nucleotides. They enable for example the in situ hybridisation of native cell nuclei.
