The wheelchair holds an operator (50) in an aligned position. It has a main body (10) supported on wheels (12,14) and has a front, rear and middle section. There is a carrier support part (20) mounted on the main body which has a curved section and stretches longitudinally between the front and rear sections. The curve is concave upwards. The seat (30) has a seating surface (31) and a movable section (33) supported on the carrier support part. The seat can be moved along the curved section of the latter following its curved path, the middle point of the path having a position that is higher than the seating surface.
