Valve timing gear for engine intake and discharge valve

The device has a valve opening/closing shaft (10) turnably connected to the cylinder head (110). A rotation transmission part around the shaft transmits the movements of a crankshaft, and there are blades fastened to the shaft. A fluid chamber between shaft and part is divided by the blades into advance chambers and delay chambers. There are first and second fluid passages for the chambers. A tunnel chamber (32) in shaft contains a blocking stud (70), which is spring-loaded relative to shaft. The head of the stud is fitted into an aperture (22) in shaft, when these are synchronised in preselected relative phases. There is a third fluid passage to the fitting aperture.
