The top, holder plate is between 10 and 17 centimetres long, 6 to 8 centimetres wide, and 1 centimetre thick. Attachments on the two longitudinal sides and the back narrow side for attaching the neck and finger-board of the instrument. the holder plate has angular or round holes in through which connecting wires lead with a knob at their top end. The wires have small springs linked to tuning strings. Protuberances or stops on the same level are over the strings depressed during playing
