A light, thin-walled, highly rigid, durable and highly gas-permeable outfit used mainly in the fields of orthopedics, rehabilitation and sports, and a supporting member therefor, especially, a suupporting member which is formed out of a fiber-reinforced plastic obtained by impregnating a triaxially woven fabric with a resin, and which is suitably applied to the outfit, characterized in that the supporting member comprises a planar molded body formed from a triaxially woven fabric-reinforced plastic. The molded body preferably has openings the area of which accounts for 5-33 % of the total area thereof, a flexural rigidity per unit width thereof in at least one direction of 10-1x10<4> kg.mm<2> and a weight per unit area of 50-1000 g/m<2>. The outfit is formed by using such a supporting member.
