PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To demarcate a component in a sample stably while suppressing natural dispersion thereof by providing a guide member in an electrophoretic chamber thereby regulating the flow of buffer and stabilizing a laminar flow. SOLUTION: A buffer channel beginning from a butter introduction port 5 is widened gradually in sectral shape toward a channel of constant width. A butter at that part is applied with a voltage and electrophoresed. Guide members 10a, 10b are provided in an electrophoretic chamber 4 in order to suppress turbulence of the buffer thus sustaining a laminar flow. Consequently, an electrophoretically separated sample component is not disturbed by the turbulence of butler and separated precisely. Electrophoretically charged particles migrate through the air gap between the guide members 10a, 10b and an upper glass plate but since the interval between them is smaller than the thickness of the electrophoretic chamber 4, natural diffusion of the sample in the direction perpendicular to the flow of buffer 15 suppressed and the sample can be separated precisely. |
