PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display device capable of displaying a high- quality picture while improving the problem that luminance unevenness is caused to degrade the picture quality by making the S value of an FET for controlling a light emitting current larger than that of an FET for writing data. SOLUTION: This display device has an organic EL element 3, an FET 2 for controlling the light emitting current of the element 3, a capacitor 4 which is for holding a signal and which is connected to the gate electrode of the FET 2 and an FET 1 for writing data to the capacitor 4. Then, the S value of the FET 2 can be made larger than that of the FET 1 by making the gate oxidized film of the FET 2 thicker than that of the gate oxidized film of the FET 1. As a result, when a dark screen is wanted to be expressed, the degree of variations in currents is reduced and the occurrence of luminance unevenness is prevented and the degradation of picture quality is suppressed. Thus, the picture display device having satisfactory quality is obtained. |
