<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video compression/compression release system which converts an array of a DCT(discrete cosine transformation) coefficient into a two-dimensional array of space data. SOLUTION: An array of a DCT transformation coefficient is divided into two groups, an area IDCT(inverse discrete cosine transformation) algorithm is applied to both coefficients of non-zero and zero of a 1st group, and IDCT calculation is applied only to non-zero coefficient of a 2nd group. An output array of space data is formed by combining or mapping operation results. 8×8 array of the DCT coefficient is transformed and a 1st area is defined by a 1st quarter part of a coefficient in the 8×8 array. An area IDCT algorithm is applied to both coefficients of zero and non-zero in the 1st quarter part. Non-zero coefficients in the other three quarter parts are directly calculated, the result of direct calculation is combined with a result of an area IDCT algorithm that is applied to the coefficient of the 1st quarter part. The result value is mapped to an output matrix.</p> |
