PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always maintain good separativeness of a recording material from an intermediate transfer belt and stabilize the carrying ability of the recording material to a fixing device. SOLUTION: This image forming device has a package transfer device 3 to transfer color component images on an intermediate transfer belt 2 in package to a recording material 4. In this case, the package transfer device 3 includes plural rolls 5a, 5b and a semiconductive belt 6 tensely mounted on the rolls 5a, 5b for rotation with the volume resistivity of 10<6> -10<10>Ωcm, one of plural rolls 5a, 5b as a transfer roll 7 being arranged in press contact with the intermediate transfer belt 2 via a belt 6. A backup member 8 is arranged on the back of the intermediate transfer belt 2 opposed to the transfer roll 7, a transfer bias applying means 9 on which a transfer field for package transfer is formed is provided between the transfer roll 7 and the backup member 8 and the belt 6 is arranged along the recording material 4 on its downstream side in the carrying direction.
