PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the shift stage correctly even in case of the condition making the calculation impossible by a sudden speed reduction, when the change gear ratio is calculated from the ratio of the pulley input rotation number and the pulley output rotation number of a continuously variable transmission, and the present gear change stage is calculated and displayed depending on the gear change ratio. SOLUTION: A sudden speed reduction detecting means 42 detects sudden speed change from the variation amount of the pulley output rotation number, and in an artificial car speed setting means 43, the initial value of the artificial car speed is set depending on the pulley output rotation number in the sudden speed reduction detecting time, and at the same time, the artificial car speed is renewed in order by the artificial car speed reduced at every setting period. In a gear change stage calculating means 44, the gear change stage corresponding to the artificial car speed is calculated, and its result is output to a gear change stage display means 32. |
