This prefabricated door frame assembly comprises the frame (1) mounted in the wall or partition (2) which divides a building. It further includes the facing surround (3) accepting the door (4) and the rear surround (5). The design starts from a new material, medium density fibre board (MDF). Components (1, 3, 5) of the assembly are cut from water-repellent panels of this material
