摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preform a trial write suitable for a phase transition optical disk by detecting phase deviations between data edges and clock edges while changing recording powers and calculating an optimum recording condition while measuring jitter equivalently. SOLUTION: When edge pulses of the clock and the trial write mark extracted from a reproduced signal by using a PLL circuit are inputted to a phase comparator and pulses having lengths equivalent to phase deviations between them are subjected to a pulse width - voltage conversion to be converted into a phase error voltage by an integrator and the phase error voltage is larger than a threshold value, error edges are transferred to a counter to be counted. Moreover, when all data edges are counted and the count value reaches a specified value, the operation of an edge counter is stopped and the count value is fetched to a CPU to be processed. Thus, the phase error voltage is smoothed by integrating a value equivalent to the fluctuation of the phase error voltage due to the influence of variations of recording sensitivities and the fluctuation of servo errors being in sectors to be reproduced as the number of pulses and the stability of the measurement is increased.
