<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic sheath edge part of a sheath interrupter, where there is little partial heating of the outer semiconductor layer of itself and the flashover strength is high, softening the electric field of the metallic sheath edged part without damaging the outer semiconductor layer or the outer semiconductor layer and a cable insulator, and its processing method. SOLUTION: When covering the periphery of a cable conductor 2 with a cable insulator 3 and an outer semiconductor layer 4 in order, surrounding the outer semiconductor layer 4 by a metallic sheath 5, edging a part of the metallic sheath 5, also surrounding the whole metallic edge part by an insulating tube 6, and sealing the space between the insulating tube 6 and the metallic sheath 5 with sealing material 7, mesh-form metal 8 is wound around each of the boarders between the above metallic sheath edged ends and the outer semiconductor layer.</p> |
