PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a colored cable having the high reliability to withstand the contact of a high-temp. environment and chemicals by forming an inside coating layer consisting of a black polyamide resin and an outside coating layer consisting of a colored polyamide resin and determining the thickness of the inside coating layer and the outside coating layer so as to satisfy a specific relation. SOLUTION: A bare fiber 4 consists of a core 1 and a sheath layer 2. A fiber 5 consists of the core 1, the sheath layer 2 and a protective layer 3. The coating layer 8 disposed on the outer side of the bare fiber 4 or the optical fiber 5 is formed of a two-layered structure composed of the inside coating layer 6 and the outside coating layer 7. The coating layers are so formed as to satisfy the relation 0.53<A/(A+B)<0.84, when the respective thicknesses are defined as Aμm and Bμm. The core 1 consists of a polymethacrylate (PMMA) resin. The PMMA resin is a transparent polymer contg. >=80 wt.% methyl methacrylate as a monomer component. The sheath layer 2 is formed of a transparent fluorine resin having the refractive index lower than the refractive index of the PMMA resin used for the core 1. More specifically, such resin includes fluoroalkylmethacrylate, etc. |
