COOLANT CIRCULATING AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by suppressing leakage of coolant due to a disaster, e.g. earthquake. SOLUTION: The heat-exchanger of an outdoor unit 1 is set at an upper position of a building and coupled through a coolant carrying tube 5 with the heat-exchanger 4 of an indoor unit 3 disposed in each room of a building thus constituting a closed circuit for circulating the coolant. The outdoor unit 1 is provided with a seismic switch 9 for sensing earthquake. When the seismic switch 9 is actuated, both a valve 7 for switching the flow of coolant in the coolant liquid tube 5 between cooling operation and warminq operation and an expansion valve 8 for controlling the coolant supply to the heat-exchanger of the indoor unit 3 are closed.
