The slider allows almost all of a paste product to be removed from a tube made of flexible material. It is made from a sheet of rigid plastic material with a slot (2) formed in its thickness. The tube to be emptied is inserted in this slot. The width of the slider is 3 millimetres more than that of the flexible tube. This allows the slider to be integral with the packaging for the tube without the need for modification to the package. The slot in the slider is 2 millimetres wider than the width of the tube.
