Vehicle roof-mounted locker convertible into tent

The rigid locker (1) has four telescopic posts. it is removable from the roof of the vehicle and has a horizontal area that is sufficient to provide clearance with the sides of the vehicle form the frame for the tent. Four tubes (a) are connected at two points on the forward and rear edges of the base of the locker and can be fixed in two positions. The first position is stored inside the locker, the second is with one end of the tube outside and below the locker forming an angle to the horizontal of around 10 degrees. The telescopic post has a lateral arm enclosed in the external end of the tube. This is long enough so that the foot that extends the arm can be orientated slightly outwards. The tent material is affixed to the interior of the lateral edge of the locker so that it can be stored inside it and is connected by straps to attachment points. the tent sheet material is deployed by sliding between the lower edge of the locker and the tubes enclosed in the lateral arm of the posts.
