<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which can enhance a cooling efficiency by preventing heat generated by a heater during a defrosting operation from being transferred in a refrigerating chamber and terminating an air flow between a cooling chamber and an evaporator when a door is opened. SOLUTION: A shutter device 30 includes a shutter member 16 which shutters a space in which an evaporator is disposed from a cooling chamber and a drive motor 17 which drives the shutter member 16. During a defrosting operation or at the time of opening a door, a cold air discharge port 13 is interrupted by the shutter device 16. Owing such a construction, the temperature elevation of a refrigerating chamber caused by heat generated by a defrosting heater and a loss of cold air and the generation of frost on the surface of the evaporator caused by opening of the door can be prevented.</p> |
