<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device capable of highly accurately detecting coordinates independently of using conditions. SOLUTION: The input coordinates of a position indicating tool 5 are calculated based on propagation time required up to the detection of oscillation inputted from the tool 5 to a plate-like propagation body 2 by plural oscillation detection means 10A to 10D arranged on prescribed positions of the body 2. Each detection means is constituted of a pair of oscillation sensors for detecting an S0 wave and an A0 wave having respectively different oscillation modes and each pair of oscillation sensors are set up so as to mutually strengthen an oscillation wave of one oscillation mode and to weaken an oscillation wave of a different oscillation mode. In the constitution, either one of the A0 and S0 waves is mutually added and the other is mutually canceled, so that the gain of both the waves can be sharply differentiated and the coordinate input device having high sensitivity can be attained.</p> |
