The connector between two pipes (2,4) consisting of an annular seal (6) placed between two pieces (8,10) designed to be soldered or welded to the ends of the respective pipes (2,4) and to be screw connected one to the other by the intermediary of a clamping piece (12). It is characterised in that the clamping of the pieces (8,10) one onto the other, by the intermediary of the clamping piece (12) and that having an axial shoulder, makes it difficult to be reversed when engaging onto one or other of the pieces, and that the sealing piece (6) contains a centring shoulder (20) which co-operates with the complementary recesses (22,24) respectively provided on each of the faces (26,28) of the said pieces (8,10).
