PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic still camera system capable of monitoring/ reproducing recorded image corresponding to various encoding and decoding systems and has high versatility. SOLUTION: A data expansion decoding circuit part 40 is provided with plural kinds (e.g. three kinds) of data expansion decoders 40a, 40b and 40c which have different data coding and decoding systems, an input buffer 40d and an output buffer 40e which are used for decoding processing of the decoders 40a to 40c and a decoding controller 40f, the decoder 40a to 40c which corresponds to this is selected in accordance with a data compression coding system of an image signal which is performed data compression coding and stored on a memory card 10, the data expansion decoding processing is carried out and it is possible to perform monitoring reproduction of even an image signal that is picked up in a different kind of systems. |
