PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature estimating device which estimates a sea surface temperature based on a thermal infrared image data obtained by imaging a sea surface from an artificial satellite and an air state information at imaging. SOLUTION: At a data conversion part 12, a thermal infrared image data is converted into a brightness value for each pixel, and the brightness value is converted into a specified radiance data. Meanwhile, at a transmittance data calculation part 14, a transmittance data, for example a wave number band mean value of thermal infrared light, is calculated based on an air state information. A temperature estimating part 15, based on the radiance data and the wave number band mean value, generates an approximate expression of such radiation transfer equation as comprising a sea surface temperature as a calculation parameter, and then performs inverse operation for a sea surface temperature based on the generated approximate expression. |
