PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fill a capillary tube space quickly with a test fluid while facilitating the assembling work of a sensor by making a recessed area partially in an insulating base having upper surface provided with an electrode layer and bonding a cover having bottom face coated with a water dispersing polyurethane layer to the base. SOLUTION: A conductor pattern 38, electrode patterns 39, 40, an insulating pattern 42 and a reagent layer 44 are screen printed sequentially onto an insulating base 36. A recessed space 48 is then made in a cover 46 by coining and the bottom face thereof is coated with a bifunctional layer containing water dispersing polyurethane. Subsequently, the cover 46 and the base 36 are subjected to heat sealing. Consequently, the polyurethane layer on the bottom face of the cover 46 is fused to bond the cover 46 to the base 36 thus producing an integrated sensor having a capillary tube for receiving a fluid sample. According to the method, assembling work of the sensor is facilitated and since the water dispersing polyurethane enhanced hydrophilicity, the flow rate of a fluid sample can be increased. |
