RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND REMOTE CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily enlarge the service range of a radio communication system without newly installing an expensive mobile communication exchange device. SOLUTION: Radio base stations 1 and 11 are connected with the mobile communication exchange device 2 through ISDN networks 4 and 15. A base station controller 12 is provided between the radio base stations 1 and 11 and the ISDN networks 4 and 15. A protocol conversion device 14 is installed between the mobile communication exchange device 2 and the ISDN networks 4 and 15 and the mobile communication exchange device 2 remotely controls the radio base stations 1 and 11. The radio base stations 1 and 11 are connected to the base station controller 12 and the protocol conversion device 14 to the mobile communication exchange device 2 through interfaces only for mobile object communication. The base station controller 12 is connected to the ISDN networks 4 and 15 and the ISDN networks 4 and 15 to the protocol conversion device 14 through I interfaces.
